On Sunday, 15th October a trip around Almaty city, exploring its landmarks was organised for the new international students admitted to KazNMU

The trip wasn’t just to explore the pleasing views of Almaty but a change for the freshest to start their odyssey of studying in Almaty in the most meaningful and unforgettable way !

The tour included visits to scenic spots like kok-tobe, Medeu and ended with a pleasant evening at president park.

The mountains of Kok Tobe and it’s invigorating winds could make anyone fall in love with Almaty and it’s people .The awe-inspiring view provide an ideal backdrop for bonding with fellow freshers and making unforgettable memories.

Next on the itinerary was Medeu Mountain, home to one of the world’s highest ice-skating rinks. a spot enriched with history and breathtaking views, perfect to feel alive and energetic before facing the challenges of the university. The surrounding mountains, often snow-capped, create a mesmerizing setting for this thrilling activity.

President park – our final destination; a site to relax and get to know each other. Its vast lang gives you a perfect way to end the evening with meaningful walks, beautiful sunsets and idyllic weather . It provided a serene contrast to the previous adventures. This meticulously landscaped park is a tribute to Kazakhstan’s rich heritage and features statues of the nation’s presidents and cultural luminaries. It was a place where freshers could relax, reflect, and enjoy the quietude that often eludes city life.

The city tour, generously sponsored by Indasia Global company and organised by SDF IS (Student Dean Faculty of International School) turned out to be the perfect introduction to Almaty. It wasn’t just an outing, but a doorway to bond with their seniors, members of SDF IS and their peers.
