The intellectual corridors of Kazakh National Medical University’s Building 7 resonated with lively debates and spirited discussions as The Renaissance Literary Society orchestrated an enthralling debate competition on November 29-30, 2023. The event, held in the heart of academic fervor, brought together the best and brightest minds for a two-day celebration of articulate discourse and intellectual exchange.

Eight teams, each comprising three members, vied for victory in a series of knockout matches on the first day. The themes, spanning a diverse spectrum from the Importance of Intellectual Property Law to The French Revolution, Telemedicine, and Various Forms of Energies and Their Drawbacks, reflected the expansive range of topics explored by the participants.

A notable feature of the competition was the involvement of KazNMU alumni, who graciously served as judges. Their presence not only added an element of prestige to the event but also ensured unbiased decision-making.

The themes themselves, carefully curated to provoke thoughtful discussion, allowed the participants to delve into contemporary issues and historical events. Each team demonstrated a commendable grasp of the chosen themes, presenting well-researched arguments and perspectives that showcased the depth of their knowledge.

In the end, Team Synapse emerged as the victorious champions, securing their place at the pinnacle of the competition. The winning team, recognized for their exceptional debating skills, received certificates of appreciation and personalized mugs as tokens of their triumph.
