The IX Summer School of Rheumatologists, held on June 27–28 2025y., in Astana, became a large-scale educational platform that brought together leading specialists, faculty members of medical universities, and residents of rheumatology programs from across Kazakhstan.

The department staff delivered presentations and served as moderators of the conference sessions.

At the conference, residents of the Department of Rheumatology presented clinical cases on systemic lupus erythematosus — first-year residents O.K. Sаtim and S. Kаribay; mixed connective tissue disease — K.S. Omargali; granulomatosis with polyangiitis — D. Dauletbayeva and A. Seidakhmet. O.K. Satim also presented on the use of digital tools in rheumatology. The presentations were distinguished by clinical maturity, a well-reasoned approach to diagnosis and treatment, and the active involvement of academic and clinical mentors in the discussion of the presented materials.

The format of live dialogue, questions from the audience, and a detailed analysis of clinical decisions contributed to the residents’ professional growth and highlighted the importance of the School as an environment for developing practice-oriented thinking in future specialists.

The Summer School concluded with a summary of results and the adoption of a final resolution outlining priorities for the further development of educational programs and clinical rheumatology in Kazakhstan. The conference once again confirmed its role as an important professional platform promoting intergenerational continuity and the development of the national school of rheumatology.
