AL-FARABI KAZAKH NATIONAL UNIVERSITY International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists «FARABI ALEMI» (April 7-8, 2026)

On April 7-8, 2026, the Faculty of International Relations at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the international scientific conference of students and young scientists titled “Farabi alemi.” Within the framework of the conference, Section 7, “Current Issues of International Law,” became an important academic platform for discussing modern trends and pressing issues in the field of international law.

This international scientific conference not only demonstrated the intellectual potential of young researchers but also provided broad opportunities for structuring their research, proposing new ideas, and engaging in professional exchange of opinions.

During the section, presentations by more than 20 students and young scholars from various higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan were heard. Among them were 3rd-year students of the International Faculty of S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, Wani Umar Farooq and Abdul Mussavir, as well as 5th-year student Juvanysheva Kaliya, who clearly demonstrated a high level of preparation, deep knowledge, and a strong passion for scientific research.

In particular, Abdul Mussavir delivered a presentation titled “Cybersecurity in Healthcare: Implications for International Law,” where he analyzed the legal aspects of protecting medical data and cyber threats.

Wani Umar Farooq presented a report on “International Medical Standards and Access to Vaccines: Challenges and Global Strategies,” in which he comprehensively examined issues of inequality in the global healthcare system, the need for harmonizing international standards, and ways to ensure equitable access to vaccines.

Juvanysheva Kaliya delivered a presentation on “The Legal Status and Limits of Authority of the World Health Organization in Global Health Governance; International Medical Standards and Access to Vaccines: Challenges and Global Strategies,” providing an in-depth analysis of the legal foundations of the WHO’s activities, its role at the global level, and the limits of its authority.

The scientific supervisor of the young researchers was B.S. Bertaeva, a lecturer at the Department of Medical Law of the School of Public Health and a doctoral student.

According to the results of the conference, Juvanysheva Kaliya was awarded 2nd place, bringing honor to her institution. Wani Umar Farooq and Abdul Mussavir successfully defended their research work and were awarded special certificates for their high level of preparation. These achievements are a clear reflection of hard work, quality education, and systematic scientific research.

It is worth noting that the “Farabi alemi” conference once again confirmed its status as an important intellectual and academic platform that contributes to the professional development of young scientists and helps define new directions for the future of science.
