Interuniversity City Scientific and Practical Conference
On February 25, 2026, the Interuniversity City Scientific and Practical Conference titled “Current Issues in Clinical Practice” was held at City Clinical Hospital No. 1 (Kalkaman).
The event brought together leading experts, practicing physicians, and faculty members from the country’s key medical universities. The conference was organized by physicians and faculty members of the Kazakhstan-Russian Medical University (KRMU) and the Department of Pulmonology of Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU).
At the conference, presentations were delivered covering актуальные issues in gastroenterology, pulmonology, allergology, and rheumatology.
Scientific Program

Analysis of overlap syndromes in liver diseases. Special attention was paid to diagnostic criteria when a patient simultaneously presents signs of autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) and primary biliary cholangitis (PBC).
Pulmonology:
Review of the latest GOLD 2026 protocols, including updates in treatment regimens, risk classification, and long-term management of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Allergology:
Analysis of extra-gastric manifestations of H. pylori. A clinical case of chronic urticaria in an elderly patient was discussed, along with the effectiveness of eradication therapy in treating skin manifestations.
Rheumatology:
Presentation of a complex clinical case of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), including analysis of multi-organ involvement and treatment strategies.
