On September 3–4, 2026, the Department for International Students of S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University held an Orientation Week for first-year students.

As part of the program, on September 3, the students visited a museum and took part in an educational and cultural program. The museum visit provided them with an opportunity to broaden their knowledge of the history and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan.

On September 4, the students met with the Director of the Department for International Students. The Director warmly welcomed the first-year students and provided them with important information about the academic process, university life, and the academic environment. The students were also introduced to the important rules and requirements that they are expected to follow throughout their studies.

In the evening, an orientation trip to a local park was organized for the students. The event provided an excellent opportunity for them to meet one another, communicate, and establish new friendships. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the participants spent time together and got to know each other better.

The Orientation Week was aimed at helping first-year students become familiar with the university environment, receive essential information about the academic process, rules, and requirements of KazNMU, and take their first steps in their university life.

The activities contributed to the students’ adaptation to the university environment, encouraged teamwork and interaction, and helped create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere among first-year students.
