An orientation meeting for international students was held at S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University. This year, 213 international students from 11 countries were admitted to the first year at KazNMU. Among them are 186 students from India, 10 from Syria, 4 from Bangladesh, 2 each from Egypt, Sudan, Pakistan, and Korea, as well as representatives from the USA, Turkey, Tunisia, and Sri Lanka.
Today, KazNMU firmly holds its position as one of the most international medical universities in Kazakhstan and leads in the number of international students. The university continues to strengthen its role as an open educational platform where different cultures, languages, and traditions intersect. However, they are all united by one thing — the choice of the medical profession and the aspiration to become skilled professionals.
The orientation meeting was not just an introduction to the university, but an important message: at KazNMU, international students become part of a large medical family. Here, knowledge, discipline, responsibility, respect for the profession, and mutual support in achieving a common goal are highly valued. From the very first day, students are reminded that behind every subject, every practical skill, and every stage of study stands a future patient — their health and life.
KazNMU emphasizes a strong academic foundation, a well-developed clinical base, and close integration with the practical healthcare system. This enables the university to train not just graduates, but competent, professionally mature specialists who are ready for real medical practice and capable of critical thinking.
