On April 9–10, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Science Days of KSMA–2026” was held at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev, dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the birth of Fatima Nurgazievna Nurgazieva.

📚 The conference brought together participants from different countries: topical issues of internal medicine, surgery and other areas were discussed, as well as interesting reports from foreign teachers were presented.

🥈 We are proud to share our achievements: 5th-year students of Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University — Gulnaz Rakhmanberdi and Nazym Madetova — won 2nd place in the section “Current Issues in Internal Medicine” with their presentation: “Prognostic model for risk stratification of diabetic kidney disease.”

3rd-year students — Akniet Seitimova and Aliya Ospanova — were awarded 3rd place with their presentations: “HBV as a risk factor for multi-organ damage in patients with diabetes mellitus” and “Clinical and endoscopic features of GERD and Barrett’s esophagus.”

🌍 In addition to the scientific program, participants enjoyed the atmosphere of the city and gained unforgettable impressions from the trip.
